Eating With Carmen Food Tours

1. Company Information

Eating With Carmen Food Tours provides guided culinary walking tours and food experiences in multiple destinations across Mexico, including Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Tulum, Puerto Morelos, Mérida, Mexico City, San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

By booking or participating in any experience offered by Eating With Carmen Food Tours, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Booking and Payment

All reservations must be made through our official website or through authorized partners and booking platforms.

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.

Once a reservation is confirmed, guests will receive a confirmation email with the meeting location, start time and relevant tour information.

Guests are responsible for reviewing their confirmation details.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1. Group Tours

With Trip Protection

Guests may choose to purchase Trip Protection at the time of booking for an additional 15 percent of the booking price.

Trip Protection allows guests to cancel or reschedule their tour for any reason up to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time.

If cancelled under Trip Protection, guests will receive a full refund of the ticket price excluding the Trip Protection cost and processing fees.

Without Trip Protection

Guests may cancel or reschedule their tour up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time without penalties.

Refunds are not possible within 48 hours of the tour departure time.

No shows will be charged the full price of the booking.

3.2. Private Tours

21 days or more before the tour date

Guests may receive a 90 percent refund or reschedule once to a new available date.

Between 8 and 21 days before the tour date

Guests may reschedule with a 25 percent fee or receive a 70 percent refund.

7 days or less before the tour date

No refunds, changes or rescheduling will be permitted.

4. Third Party Bookings

If a reservation is made through a third party platform such as Viator or GetYourGuide, the cancellation and refund policies of that platform will apply.

5. Tour Modifications

Eating With Carmen Food Tours reserves the right to modify the tour route, food stops or schedule if necessary due to operational needs, restaurant closures, weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control.

6. Arrival and Punctuality

Guests must arrive at the designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Tours begin promptly.

7. Dietary Restrictions and Allergies

Guests must inform us in advance of any dietary restrictions or food allergies. We cannot guarantee that all dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

8. Food Safety

Eating With Carmen Food Tours partners with local restaurants and vendors but does not control food preparation. We are not responsible for allergic reactions or food sensitivities.

9. Alcohol Consumption

Participants consuming alcohol must be at least 18 years old according to Mexican law.

10. Guest Conduct

Eating With Carmen Food Tours reserves the right to remove participants whose behavior is disruptive or unsafe. No refund will be issued in such cases.

11. Equipment Responsibility

Items such as raincoats or fans provided during the tour must be returned. Replacement fees may apply.

Raincoat: 300 MXN

Fan: 200 MXN

12. Photography and Media

Photos or videos may be taken during tours for promotional purposes.

13. Liability

Participants acknowledge that walking tours involve risks and release Eating With Carmen Food Tours from liability except in cases of gross negligence.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
